CarryLane Strategy or Carry Option: which fits your plan?

Compare premium sources, minimum tickets, terms and payout timing. A higher target does not make the products interchangeable.

Two distinct architectural routes for choosing a strategy
01

Start with the term, not the rate

Both products provide exposure to carry, but commit capital for different periods and use different structures. Before looking at a daily target, decide what amount you can leave committed until maturity: an active contract has no early exit.

The second question is whether you need interim access to profit. That depends on the mode and product schedule; an amount recorded inside a contract is not necessarily available in the wallet.

02

CarryLane Strategy: funding and basis

CarryLane Strategy starts at $100 and offers 30-, 60-, 90- and 120-day terms. Its structure seeks funding and basis premiums with an offsetting hedge, and results are recorded by trading day.

It suits someone who wants a smaller starting amount, a choice of four terms and a more frequent accounting rhythm. Hedging reduces exposure to price direction; it does not remove market or operational risks.

03

Carry Option: an additional option premium

Carry Option starts at $2,500 and offers 180- or 365-day terms. It adds a written-option layer to carry: that layer may earn a premium but also creates an obligation and a different risk profile.

With settlement to available balance, this product releases profit on 90-day cycles rather than each trading day. Assess the longer lock and that rhythm together before comparing daily targets.

04

Four checks before choosing

Compare the minimum amount, non-cancellable term, source of the premium and profit-release mode. Then read the actual contract card: its current target rate, fees and maturity date should be clear before confirmation.

Do not choose Carry Option simply because its target percentage is higher. The additional premium comes with an additional obligation. The right product is the one whose term and structure fit your plan without relying on a perfect scenario.
