The CarryLane journey: from idea to two products

How an idea to make carry understandable moved through a prototype, closed tests and a public launch.

Three architectural stages in the CarryLane journey from idea to open platform
01

2024: the question that started it

CarryLane began as a question in the second quarter of 2024: could market carry premiums be made accessible to someone who does not intend to manage both sides of a trade personally? Funding, basis and option premium already existed; what was missing was a clear path from those mechanics to an investor’s contract and account.

The task was not to invent a new market payment. It was to bring selection, execution, controls and reporting into a process that could be explained before a client committed capital.

2025: prototype and structural testing

In the first quarter of 2025, a platform prototype took shape with a dashboard and accounting layer. The goal was not merely to open a position, but to connect its term, result and every account entry into one understandable sequence.

In the third quarter, the team ran closed strategy tests using its own capital. This came before external investor access and allowed the trading structure and platform to be examined together in live market conditions.

2026: company and public product

The company was formally registered in the first quarter of 2026. That moved the project beyond a prototype into an operating organization with documentation, terms and responsibility for a public product.

CarryLane Strategy and Carry Option launched publicly in the third quarter. They share a platform but use different structures: the first focuses on funding and basis, while the second adds an option layer and longer terms.

What remains central from here

The roadmap includes new markets and more platform languages. Scale does not replace the original task: an investor should understand the source of a market opportunity, the length of a commitment and what happened to each credit.

The CarryLane journey is not a claim that every market will behave alike. It is the continued development of a product that keeps technical complexity inside the system while making terms and transaction history available to the person using it.
